Looking for the best options for watching yoga on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming services? The yoga-related content currently available online ranges from instructional workout videos to fascinating documentaries about meditation and the therapeutic benefits of yoga.

Amazon Prime Video has plenty of complete yoga routines you can perform at home while watching the videos. You won’t find any full yoga workouts on Netflix, but that service does offer documentaries and dramas that tangentially touch on yoga. And of course, YouTube is a goldmine for instructional videos. You can also find lots of good yoga podcasts online.

Yoga on Amazon Prime Video

A small selection of the yoga on Amazon Prime Video.

If you’re on Amazon Prime Video, congrats! You’ve got a ton of choices in terms of being able to stream yoga videos on the service. In fact, there are so many yoga workouts and routines on Amazon Prime that we can’t possibly list them all here. But here are some of the best.

Yoga With Adriene: Yoga for Beginners. The Yoga With Adriene series has been one of the top yoga brands for years now. This 45-minute video is designed for beginners and those returning to yoga after some time off. It’s a gentle but thorough class.

Yoga For the Inflexible: Just as it sounds, this video series is meant for folks who could use a little more flexibility in their torso and limbs. The 4-part series has separate videos designed to open up your hips, spine, and shoulders. The instructor sometimes uses props such as bolsters and foam blocks, so you may want to have those on hand.

30 Day Yoga Power Up!
If you want something a bit more strenuous, try the 30 Day Power Up video. Learn new flows and poses, and build up your stamina over the course of a month with this massive 31-part video series.

Yoga Sweat: Beginners Power Yoga For Weight Loss. For something even more strenuous, try power yoga. The Yoga Sweat video is 26 minutes of blood-pumping, sweat-inducing cardio. Despite the high intensity, this video still caters to beginners, so modifications are presented for the most difficult poses. If power yoga workouts sound interesting, see also our list of the best power yoga DVDs on the market.

Yoga Meditation For Stress Anxiety & Relief: Finally, here’s a nice, gentle 22-minute flow that aims to improve your mental state as much as the physical. The relaxing style is ideal for those who want a quiet, peaceful exercise without too much strain on the body.

Yoga on Netflix: The Best Streaming Options for Yoga-Related Content

Some of the Netflix documentaries about yoga.

As noted earlier, there are no yoga instructional videos on Netflix as of 2020. You can find a handful of yoga-themed documentaries, however.

I Am Maris

A young woman named Maris Degener tells the story of how she overcame an eating disorder and used yoga to help her heal and accomplish self-acceptance. I Am Maris is a positive tale of overcoming adversity, and it’s the most yoga-centric movie currently available on Netflix. If you want proof that yoga can truly make a difference in someone’s life, this one is for you! (For more inspiration, see our list of inspirational and fun yoga quotes.)

Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator

This documentary focuses on Bikram Choudhury, the founder of bikram hot yoga. The Indian-born teacher was celebrated in the yoga world for years for his innovative instruction. But he was also the subject of assault and harassment allegations.

This documentary isn’t exactly “feel-good,” but it does provide useful information about one of yoga’s more influential figures and tells the tale of his rise and fall.

Heal

Another documentary, Heal doesn’t touch specifically on yoga, but it features interviews with spiritual leaders such as Deepak Chopra. They discuss the connection between mental and physical health. It’s an interesting watch for those who like to delve into the spiritual side of yoga.

Keep An Eye Out For Other Netflix Yoga Streaming Possibilities

I suggest that you keep searching Netflix from time to time, because they are constantly changing their content. There have even been full yoga workouts on Netflix in the past. Previously, Netflix has hosted the following videos: On Yoga: The Architecture of Peace; Crunch: Candlelight Yoga; Ayurveda: The Art of Being; Breath of the Gods; and many more.

By the way, Crunch: Candlelight Yoga and a few other titles are available from Netflix’s DVD rental service. So if you’re really gung-ho about finding yoga videos on Netflix, you’ll have to go with the DVD service rather than online streaming.

Yoga Videos on Hulu

For years, Hulu also offered yoga workout videos and instructional routines, but those days seem to be a thing of the past. Currently, we cannot find any yoga routines in Hulu’s library.

Watching videos on Hulu was tricky anyway, since they include commercial interruptions unless you subscribe to a higher-tier plan without ads. It’s hard to get into a relaxing mindset for a great yoga practice when you have to deal with loud commercials trying to sell peanut butter and Toyotas every few minutes!

We’ll update this post if Hulu goes back to adding yoga videos to its platform.

Yoga on YouTube

Yoga With Kassandra is one of the top streaming workouts on YouTube.

Lastly, there’s YouTube. Most people looking to stream yoga workouts end up on YouTube, because they have by far the biggest selection. And it’s free!

As with Amazon Prime, YouTube has dozens of yoga workout routines to follow, so we recommend searching around on your own. We will highlight two particular videos that we personally use on a regular basis:

Sarah Beth Yoga – Full Body Yoga For Flexibility and Strength

This video is my typical Saturday morning yoga routine. It’s perfect for when you want a low-intensity practice that moderately works all your muscles without leaving them sore afterwards. We always feel refreshed and our joints feel totally loose after working through this 25-minute session. It’s a great way to start the weekend!

Yoga With Kassandra – Intermediate Vinyasa Yoga

I like using this video when I want something slightly more challenging, but still at a moderate pace. Kassandra leads a 35-minute session that works every muscle group. This one has some flows that really test your balance, so if you have issues with balance and coordination like me, it’s a fantastic way to improve.

How to Stream Yoga: Conclusion

To sum up: While Hulu and Netflix yoga streaming opportunities may be in short supply, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube offer plenty of instructional videos that you can use as part of your home yoga routine.
